WELCOMING CEREMONY IN BUCARAMANGA, COLOMBIA

On August 12, 2024, in Bucaramanga, known as the “beautiful city” of Colombia, the Welcoming Ceremony began promptly at 9:00 a.m. The speaker invited those present to give glory to God, thus initiating this beautiful act of fraternity.

With devotion and joy that filled the air, expressed through the choir’s praises, a warm welcome was extended to the delegations from the congregations of six regions: Arauca, Bolívar, Boyacá, Cesar, North of Santander, and Santander. The spiritual fervor was palpable as all the members welcomed the delegates representing the many congregations. Despite long distances and hours of travel, they arrived very happily to celebrate the 2024 Holy Supper.

Thus, the brethren and ministers embraced one another in a fraternal embrace, with happy faces and the love of Christ, marking the beginning of the most important celebration of The Light of the World.
The ceremony concluded with a prayer of worship and thanksgiving to God for this beautiful event and for the safe arrival of all the delegations to this place. This event, marking once again a historic occasion in this city, is a testament to the enduring significance and impact of the celebration of the Holy Supper of Jesus Christ.

Blessed are those who are called to the wedding of the Lamb!

Welcoming Ceremony, Holy Supper 2024, Ecosanctuary, San Salvador, El Salvador, August 12, 2024.

A spiritual oasis manifested during the Welcoming Ceremony for the Holy Supper 2024 at the Ecosanctuary in San Salvador, which officially began under the banners of love, fraternity, and unity.

Faces full of joy could be seen throughout the venue as the brethren arrived to participate in the beginning of this sacred memorial. A blissful aroma of hope filled the hallways as the brethren made their way to the place prepared for the ceremony.

As the brethren approached, melodies from afar filled the atmosphere; it was the choir from the Central Zone of El Salvador, declaring their presence, singing beautiful hymns of praise and worship to our God and His beloved Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

At 9:00 in the morning, the Welcoming Ceremony began, presided over by the officiating Deacon. Among the congregation, a message of fraternal welcome, love, and hope resonated as the faithful raised their hands in unity.

The flag of El Salvador led the march of flags representing the countries that have been covered by the cloak of the Election. Next, the ministers from the various churches in the Central Zone made their way down the aisle, raising their banners.

The gathered faithful joyfully received the loving blessing of the Apostle of Jesus Christ, Naason Joaquin Garcia, who through his authority blessed this great event. They were radiant with joy and happiness as they greeted each other with a fraternal embrace, while the choirs sang, ‘With great pleasure and with joy, we are gathered here today.’
At the end of the beautiful welcoming ceremony to the greatest feast on earth, the children of God worshiped HIM in spirit and truth, with gratitude for all His goodness and blessings.

Hawaii commemorates the Holy Supper: The Life, Sacrifice and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ

“For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” – 1 Corinthians 11:26

On August 14, 2024, In the beautiful island of Maui, brethren of The Light of the World in Hawaii joined together to celebrate the Holy Supper. Brethren from Kona, Kauai, O’ahu, and Maui gathered to honor the sacrifice, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ through the participation of the Holy Supper.

With reverence, each participant took part in this sacred memorial, partaking of the bread and wine that symbolize the body and blood of our Lord. The solemn ceremony united all who attended, reminding each one of the enduring love of our Lord Jesus Christ and God for all souls.

The Holy Convocation encompasses the Welcoming Ceremony, Baptisms, Bible studies but the main purpose of the spiritual festivity is to celebrate the Holy Supper, once again in Maui.

At the conclusion of the Holy Supper, before departing the Holy Supper venue, all the attendees participated in a farewell embrace. In the embrace, brethren exchanged words of encouragement to continue onward in the service to the Lord.

“For I Received From The Lord…” Holy Supper Celebrated in Australia

The Apostles of Jesus Christ were entrusted by Christ to celebrate the Holy Supper: “For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’” —1 Corinthians 11:23-24

On the evening of August 14th in Sydney, Australia, the Holy Supper worship service began in an atmosphere of reverent spirituality and reflection, honoring the solemnity of the commemoration. The presiding pastor reflected on the profound sacrifice and suffering of our Lord Jesus Christ. The moment then arrived to bless the bread and wine, which was done through the Apostolic authority of the Apostle of Jesus Christ Naasón Joaquín García.

This year in Sydney, brethren from the cities in Australia, New Zealand, and choir members from California traveled to Sydney to jointly celebrate the Holy Supper. One purpose of the Holy Supper is to renew the covenant made by each person with God—to strive to be good Christians for God and responsible citizens in society.

The Holy Supper was established by our Lord Jesus Christ as a memorial in remembrance of His redeeming sacrifice. For congregations of The Light of the World, the Holy Supper is the most solemn festivity established by the Lord Jesus Christ more than 2,000 years ago: “And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’” —Luke 22:19

Holy Supper 2024 | Welcoming Ceremony – Maui, Hawaii

On August 12, 2024, families from The Light of the World faith eagerly gathered to welcome delegates from Mexico and the Hawaiian Islands: Maui, O’ahu, Kauai, and Big Island.

From the early hours, the choir filled the air with melodies, inviting everyone to praise the glorious name of our Heavenly Father. During the ceremony, hymns of gratitude and joy were sung, celebrating the goodness and mercy God has shown to the community and their families.

The ceremony also featured a moment of reflection on the significance of being invited to and participating in the Holy Supper, the greatest expression of God’s love for humanity.

The presiding minister read an apostolic greeting from the Apostle of Jesus Christ, filling hearts with joy, which was manifest through expressions of ‘Glory to God,’ ‘Glory to Christ,’ and ‘Hallelujah.’

The ceremony concluded with warm embraces of brotherhood and fellowship, as the brethren shared words of love and joy, united in anticipation of the Holy Supper, which was soon to be celebrated according to the commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Holy Convocation begins in Australia with Welcoming Ceremony

On the 12th of August 2024, the Holy Convocation festivity began in Australia with a Welcoming Ceremony in Sydney. Brethren arrived early to the venue to enjoy the solemn melodies sung by the choir delegation of California. The beautiful hymns invited those present to praise God for the blessings received.

In this ceremony, brethren with great joy gave the warmest and most fraternal welcoming to the national delegations from the congregations of Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide as well as to the delegations of Italy, Mexico, and New Zealand. Each representative proudly held their flag in representation of their place of residency.

A very touching moment unfolded during the opening of this most solemn commemoration, a warm and fraternal embrace of welcoming where emotive expressions of love and joy were exchanged while the choir sang “With great joy and pleasure, we meet again.” In this manner, the solemn Holy Supper festivity began.

Historic Holy Supper in Toronto, Canada

On July 11, 2024, at 4:00 pm, The Light of the World held a historic Holy Supper at Château Le Jardin in Toronto, Canada, to remember the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This was the first Holy Supper in Canada since the gospel arrived 42 years ago.

Members from congregations across Canada gathered for this event of fellowship, unity, and peace. At the invitation of the Apostle Naasón Joaquín García, the faithful experienced moments of reflection and spiritual renewal.

A special moment unfolded as the apostolic emissary consecrated the bread and juice, following the teachings of Jesus Christ. The ministers then distributed the Holy Supper to the attendees, recalling the Lord’s words: “As often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”

This ceremony symbolized the unity of believers in Canada and strengthened their faith and commitment to Christian principles. The celebration ended with a spirit of fellowship and joy, encouraging everyone to continue living by the values of the gospel to be good Christians and better members of their communities.

Bible Studies – Holy Supper 2024 | Toronto, Canada

As part of the Holy Supper of Jesus Christ in Canada, several bible studies were held, bringing together hundreds of members to strengthen their faith and knowledge of Christian teachings.

Held at Chateau Le Jardin, the gatherings focused on Christian formation through biblical topics presented by various ministers. Topics included the love of God, church unity, family values, and Christian principles that promote a peaceful and faithful life, as well as the duty to set a good example in all aspects of life.

The choirs enriched the atmosphere with their singing, encouraging spiritual reflection and meditation on the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. In preparation for the Holy Supper, participants reflected on the Scriptures, preparing their hearts to partake of the bread and juice of the vine, symbolizing the body and blood of Christ.

These sessions not only strengthened their faith but also provided practical tools to apply in daily life, helping them to be good Christians for God and good members of society.

A New Beginning in Jesus Christ: Baptisms at The Light of the World

The Light of the World congregations in Canada came together for a joyful Baptism Ceremony, invoking the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and the start of a new life in Him. This event was part of the first Holy Convocation in Canada, bringing together faithful from across the country.

The ceremony emphasized the importance of each person’s free decision to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and be baptized. As the attendees gathered and choir sang praises, men and women walked down the central aisle to confirm their decision to join The Light of the World.

The baptismal candidates, showing their acceptance, raised their right hand and answered “Amen” to the questions during the profession of faith. One by one, they were immersed in water by a Deacon authorized by the Apostle of Jesus Christ, fulfilling the teaching of our Lord.

“Let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins” – Acts 2:38

At the conclusion of baptisms, the church warmly welcomed the new members with a hymn and brotherly greetings. The newly baptized were invited to come forward for a prayer, asking God for strength and guidance on their new journey.
