During the Holy Supper in Rio Claro, Costa Rica held from August 12th to the 14th, 2024 various prayer meetings were conducted at different times for children, youth, and adults at the Río Claro venue.

In these prayer meetings the Word of God based on Christian teaching was preached, offering spiritual and practical guidance for daily Christian life.

Attendees received teachings and self-reflection that inspired them to practice good deeds in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Baptisms Ceremony in Olancho, Honduras.

On August 13, 2024, the eve of the Holy Supper, the decision to be baptized according to Christian doctrine was made by the men and women gathered at the Nueva Era Recreation Complex in Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras.

The baptisms of new believers is the result of the evangelistic efforts of those who have accepted the mission of Christ to preach the gospel around the world, thus fulfilling Christ’s commandment: “He who believes and is baptized will be saved;…” – Mark 16:16

Before the baptisms, the brethren who had decided to be baptized manifested their faith in Christ and faith that they would be spiritually sanctified by Christ through baptism. This brought great joy to the faithful gathered, celebrating the newly baptized brethren.

Tegucigalpa Rejoices in the Guidance Given at the Holy Supper

The brothers and sisters in the capital of Honduras received various teachings based on the revealed Word over the course of three days. They showed a strong willingness to apply these teachings in their daily lives.

The interest shown by families from August 12th to 14th, 2024, was evident in each meeting, where every Church member made an effort not to miss any detail of the explanations.

At the end of each gathering, the faithful expressed their conviction that these teachings would greatly benefit their social and spiritual lives.

Baptismal Celebration at the Holy Convocation in San Pedro Sula, Honduras

On the 13th of August, the second day of activities of the 2024 Holy Convocation in San Pedro Sula, the congregants witnessed a baptismal ceremony. During the ceremony, new brethren decided to become part of The Light of the World through baptism in water as ordained by our Lord Jesus Christ.

In an atmosphere of spiritual joy for the fulfillment of an act established by our Lord Jesus Christ, the presiding minister invited those who desired to be baptized to step forward to the front of the venue. Each brother and sister decidedly manifested their decision to be baptized.

The ordained deacons then conducted the holy sacrament by submerging the brethren in water while also invoking the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. The newly baptized brethren emerged joyous with a firm decision to strive to follow in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Christian Instruction in Cartagena, Colombia

The Lord Jesus Christ established that His Gospel should be preached around the world. The gospel of Christ provides strengthening of faith through Christian doctrine.

During the Holy Convocation held from August 12th to August 14th, Biblical topics were presented with the purpose of encouraging spiritual growth and goodwill. The biblical teachings also reinforce the principles and values in each Christian, inviting them to be good Christians for God and good citizens in society.

Each prayer was enriched with beautiful hymns to God and a wealth of knowledge and testimonies shared during the prayers. This inspired a greater sense of understanding of the Gospel among the attendees, and through prayer seeking communion with God.

Holy Supper 2024 | Pereira

Biblical Studies held at the Holy Convocation in Pereira, Colombia

During the Holy Supper festivities, thousands of attendees heard bible studies from ministers, who provided uplifting words based on the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
These teachings aim to inspire brethren to improve their lives and those around them. The sermons were held in the main pavilion for the general congregation and in an adjacent auditorium for youth and children, who were accompanied by their parents.

The primary goal of these studies is to highlight values such as love, peace, and Christian fraternity.

Throughout each study, the regional choir enriched the experience by singing hymns with melodies that encouraged personal growth. Attendees felt joy, comfort, and harmony, and the love shared among them was palpable.

The Light of the World Grows in Colombia

As part of the celebrations of the Holy Convocation, one of the holy sacraments of The Light of the World was held: Baptism Ceremony. This act is essential for salvation, as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ.

The ceremony involves the full immersion of each person in water, thereby fulfilling the divine commandment: “‘Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.’ (Romans 6:4).

Dozens of people of various ages, races, and social conditions voluntarily, and after deep reflection, made known their decision to be baptized in water in name of Jesus Christ.

The candidates, in an atmosphere of fervor and solemnity, raised their hands as a sign of acceptance and commitment to follow Christ.

The baptismal ceremony marks the beginning of a new spiritual life and is therefore considered the first step of in following the footsteps of Jesus Christ. With songs and prayers, the congregation expressed their joy and support for the newly baptized brethren. In a gesture of brotherhood, each new member was greeted with a warm embrace and with the following expression: “Welcome, brother, welcome with love!”

This act of welcome reflects the importance that The Light of the World places on the integration and support of its new members.

Baptismal Ceremony in Maui, Hawaii.

On August 11th, baptisms were celebrated amidst the festivities of the Holy Supper, a solemn memorial instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ. Brethren that have accepted Jesus Christ as the Son of God were baptized in water, as was established by our Lord Jesus Christ and his apostles.

Those baptized heard the good news of the gospel of salvation and peace that Christ brings to the soul. The baptisms were carried out on the seashore of the island of Maui and were attended by family and friends who accompanied the brethren in that special moment.

During the baptisms, a choir from California sang throughout the baptismal ceremony with songs alluding to the moment of blessing.
